Cerris Builders partnered with Stonemont Financial Group to build the first garage-wrap apartment complex in Huntsville, TX. The 230,000-SF student housing project is home to 502 residents and located directly adjacent to the Sam Houston State University campus.
The site required a stepped foundation and retaining wall system resulting in a 6, 5, and 4-story building plan which wraps around the 7.5-story, 457 spot precast parking garage. The structure is composed of wood framing for the 4 and 5-story sections with a concrete podium supporting the upper five floors of the 6-story section.
The 145-unit development is comprised of 13 floorplans varying in size from 350 SF to almost 1,800 SF. Its features include:
