A Year of Progress: How Our Rebrand Is Fueling Growth and Strengthening Relationships

One year ago, we introduced ourselves as Cerris Builders, rebranding from MW Builders to a name that better reflects who we are and how we work. Our national rebrand wasn’t the result of a merger, acquisition, or any other transaction. It was a strategic decision made to unify our identity and clarify our alignment within the larger national Cerris enterprise, a group of companies we’ve belonged to since our inception in 1971.

We remain 100% employee-owned with the same trusted team, values, and commitment to quality craftsmanship that have defined our legacy for more than 50 years.

“We haven’t changed who we are; we’ve clarified our market position as part of a $1.5 billion national construction enterprise,” said Todd Winnerman, President of Cerris Builders. “The rebrand gave us a stronger foundation to grow from and a clearer story to tell.”

Over the past year, our refreshed identity has helped us sharpen our market presence and prepare for the next chapter of our growth. We’ve launched a long-term strategy focused on deepening our presence in the communities we serve — including Austin, Dallas, Midland, Jacksonville, and Kansas City, where our teams are located.

“Our team rallied around the rebrand,” said Jason Oldham, Executive Vice President. “It’s helped us work more collaboratively, attract top talent, and continue delivering the quality our partners expect.”

Our cultural continuity has been key to the rebrand’s success. Clients and trade partners alike have responded positively throughout the transition, recognizing that while our name may be new, the commitment to delivering clarity, consistency, and excellence remains the same.

“Our primary focus extends beyond just building projects,” Winnerman added. “We are driven to build and strengthen long-lasting relationships with our clients and trade partners, and through successful projects with them, positively impact the communities in which our employee owners will live and work in for years to come.”

As we mark the one-year anniversary of our rebrand, we look forward to continuing to build for what lies ahead with our employee owners, clients, and trade partners.
