MW Builders Celebrates 50 Years

2021 is off to a solid start for our employee owners as we embark on a new and exciting chapter of our organization. This year marks our 50th anniversary. That's right, you read that correctly, 50 years, and we're ready to celebrate like it's 1971.

In 1932, Claude Sanders, the pioneer of our parent company, ventured through unchartered territory and a volatile economic environment to start a small, family-owned plumbing business rooted in midwestern values. In the early '70s, his grandson, Tom Sanders, with the same fortitude and entrepreneurial spirit as his grandfather, opened up new doors for expansion and opportunities by establishing MW Builders, Inc. in 1971 as a general contracting branch of the company.

As they say, the rest is history, but who we are is defined by that history, and we're proud of the projects and people who got us where we are today. We earned our place in the industry by working on Motel 6's throughout the country, and as of 2021, we work in nine industries and have 170 employees throughout four offices.

But just because we're growing, improving, and expanding, doesn't mean we've changed who we are at the core. Remember those values we mentioned? You can bet that our core values of integrity, teamwork, quality craftsmanship, and entrepreneurial spirit shine through in our partnerships, quality craftsmanship, and the way we take care of each other on and off the jobsite.

Although we have 50 years behind us, we're not ready to slow down; in fact, we're ready to ramp things up. We've experienced so much as a team since our inception and will use those lessons learned as we pave the way for another 50+ years to come. To all of our partners, clients, friends, and family who have stood by us as we worked towards this milestone, thank you for supporting us on this journey. We can't wait for what's to come with all of you by our side.
